Why did I choose this book?

I choose this book because I was looking for ways to further broaden my current knowledge of search engine optimization. I was looking for a book that would offer more ideas in optimizing websites. After hearing other testimonials about how great this book was I was anxious to give it a read.

What is the book about?

This book is about search engine optimization with subject matter that encompasses a multitude of activities that are involved with website optimization. The methods discussed involve steps that are needed to be taken at every step of the website development process. The steps range from structuring and organizing the website content to promoting a website through the use of blogs and other social media websites. There are over 140 different ideas that can be used in this book to better market a webpage for a higher ranking in search engines which in turn will bring more traffic and potential customer transactions to your website.

What is the format of this book?

This book is a guidebook that has a format of text and illustration and screenshots of various websites. The beginning of each chapter explains the general topics in an easy to understand manner. After the chapter’s explanation of the topics, it transitions into a visual guide in which displays screenshots of the discussed websites and a step by step explanation to reinforce the chapter’s concepts through visual reinforcement.

The author of this book is Kristopher B. Jones, who is the CEO of PepperJam, an internet marketing agency. Kris is well know in this industry and is an expert in search and internet marketing. Kris has many years experience in search engine marketing and optimization.

Who is the intended audience?

The intended audience is anyone who is trying to increase traffic to a website. This book covers all experiences from a beginner to a seasoned expert in this field. If you want to have a website without needing to be highly ranked in search engines, than this book would not be for you. This book is very valuable because it makes the concepts of search engine optimization very easy to understand.


I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in increasing traffic to their website. If you were to only implement half of the ideas in this book, you would easily increase your ranking in search engines. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
